Meet Your Instructors
You can rely on PDH Academy’s real world professionals, subject matter experts, and leading instructional designers to give you current and up-to-date learning. Find the bios of our real estate instructors below:
Melanie McLane. Melanie was first licensed as a sales agent in Pennsylvania in 1975. She joined the company founded by her mother Evelyn M. Jackson REALTOR® and became a partner in the firm in 1978. She continues to remain an active broker and appraiser. She and her husband, Jim, operate Jackson Real Estate in Jersey Shore, PA.
Katie Anthony. Katie has been affiliated with real estate for over 20 years, and is currently as a licensed Missouri broker. Her focus is on education, believing that there is never too much to learn in an agent’s ever-changing real estate career. Passionate about students learning right from the start, she teaches the Missouri Pre-Exam course using her real estate background as a guide for the students. Katie is also a past certified instructor under the Iowa Real Estate Commission. She holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and At Home with Diversity (AHWD) certifications issued by the Real Estate Buyers Agency Council (REBAC).
Marlene Douglas. Marlene has been a real estate agent and broker in the Augusta, Georgia area for over 20 years. She is fueled by her passion for leaving a legacy of honesty and trustworthiness, and she feels a commitment to her students and the clients that they will serve. She is also the managing broker of the Douglas Lane Real Estate Group, a family owned and operated, second generation, real estate company with over 25 years in the real estate industry.
Angela Matlock. Angela comes from a background in lending and finance, but has been a licensed broker in Oklahoma since 2006. She is a successful real estate investor with experience in “rehab and sell”, long and short term assets, rentals, and new construction. Additionally, Angela is a certified REBAC instructor, is a Certified Residential Specialist, and has earned her GRI, SRS, ABR, and E-Pro designations.
Danette Earnest. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in education and becoming a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Danette went on to become a licensed real estate broker in Arizona. She holds a multitude of designations, including: ABR, GRI, SRES, CPRES, and CIPS. She is also a member of the Real Estate Educators Association, the South East Valley Association of Realtors®, and has been the recipient of the Keller Williams Leadership Award.
Howard Jones. Howard is a licensed broker in South Carolina and North Carolina. He is passionate about providing high quality real estate education to students, with an aim of offering the most relevant and current information available. Howard earned his MBA and also has experience as a CPA, with a background as a senior manager with Arthur Andersen. Howard is also the author of Making Money on Your Vacation Rental Home
Richard Byrum. With over 40 years of experience in the field of real estate law, Richard is an expert in the planning, negotiation and documentation for: land acquisition; mortgage finance; loan closings; building construction; sales; leasing; like kind exchanges; owner associations; covenants; taxation; syndication, including preparation of private placement memoranda and tax opinions; distressed project workouts in the state of Kansas.
