Basic Arizona Real Estate License Requirements
To become a real estate agent in Arizona, the following requirements must be met:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be lawfully present in the U.S.
How Do I Apply for My Arizona Real Estate License?
Your first step is to complete the Arizona 90-hour pre-license course. Once that is complete, you can take the state exam.
After you complete the 90 hours of education and take the state exam, you can apply for your Arizona license. You must apply for your license within one year of passing the state exam.
Along with your application and $60 fee, you will need to include:
- Arizona state exam score report
- Pre-license education certificate
- Contract writing course certificate
- Proof of legal presence
- Fingerprint clearance card

How Do I Schedule My Exam?
You can take the Arizona real estate licensing exam by registering with the state testing facility, Pearson Vue. The exam fee is $75.
What Can I Expect During the Arizona Licensing Exam?
The Arizona Real Estate exam contains a total of 195 questions, with 15 being pretest questions. You will be scored on 180 questions. You will have 5 hours to complete the exam, and must answer 75% of the questions correctly in order to pass.
Upon passing the state exam, you will be issued a passing score report, which includes the license application, at the testing site.
