Basic Real Estate License Requirements In Georgia
To become a real estate agent in Georgia, the following requirements must be met:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must pass a background check
- Must be lawfully present and eligible to work in the U.S.
What Can I Expect During the Georgia Licensing Exam?
The Georgia Real Estate exam consists of two portions – national and state-specific.
The national portion contains 100 questions, and the state-specific portion contains 52 questions. You will have a total of 4 hours to complete both portions of the state exam.
Upon passing the exam, you will receive your score report, a Certification of Accuracy Statement, and the application information that is filed with PSI. The Certification of Accuracy Statement MUST be signed in the presence of a test center staff member.
How Do I Apply for My Georgia Real Estate License?
You need to apply for your Georgia Real Estate license within one year of passing the state exam.
To apply for a license, you will need to provide the following information at the Test Center:
- A photo ID
- Sponsoring Broker Statement Form
- License fee of $170
- Background check
- Signed and notarized Lawful Presence Affidavit
